Step one in the kitchen reno was
raising the drop ceiling. We have 9 foot ceilings in the rest of the
apartment, but less than 8 in the kitchen. By raising the ceiling we
gained 18 more inches. Enough for 39 inch cabinets and a hanging pot
rack.

Most
of the debris was cleaned up by the time this was taken. At the top of
the photo you can see the skeleton from the ceiling. Still attached are
the highhats.
